At The Bead Idea, every piece is handcrafted using a range of materials. Because of this, sizes, colours and shapes may vary slightly from item to item. We do our very best to match product photos, but please allow for small natural variations — this is part of the charm of handmade items.
Returns
In line with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from receiving your order to let us know if you’d like to return an item.
To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original condition
- Items must be returned in original packaging
- Unfortunately, postage and packing costs are non-refundable.
Custom & Personalised Items
Items that are custom-made or personalised (including wedding favours and bulk orders) are made especially for you, so we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on these, unless the item is faulty.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Earrings & Hygiene
For hygiene reasons, earrings are non-returnable, unless they arrive faulty.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives faulty or damaged in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing sparkle@thebeadidea.com, including photos of the issue.
All orders are sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class Tracked, which helps us resolve any delivery-related issues quickly.
Return Postage
Return postage is the responsibility of the customer. We strongly recommend using a tracked or recorded delivery service, as returned items remain your responsibility until they reach us.
Refunds
Once your return has been received and checked, your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7 working days.

Dispatch time will depend on whether your item is in stock or needs to be made — this information will be shown on the product listing.
If you require express delivery, please contact us before ordering. This service will incur additional costs.
Workshops – Refunds & Cancellations
- We do not offer refunds if you’re unable to attend a workshop.
- Where possible, we may be able to transfer you to another workshop date
- Workshops are not suitable for children under 12
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- Any broken tools must be paid for

Gift Voucher Terms
- Gift vouchers can be redeemed against jewellery, accessories and décor (subject to availability)
- Custom-made items cannot be refunded or exchanged
- Gift vouchers cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for cash
- Lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced
- Vouchers are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase
