Now for the legal stuff! On making a purchase/booking you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions set out on this page.
The Bead Idea handcrafts all items using a range of materials, meaning that sizes, colours and shapes can sometimes vary. We try our best to keep it the same, so please allow for small variations to images.
Delivery
Standard P&P will be £2.99 sent via Royal Mail. For orders over £49, delivery will be FREE. International P&P will vary.
Dispatch time will depend on if it is in stock or needs to be made – more details on item ordered.
If you require express delivery, please contact us. This service will have additional costs.
Product care
The items are made from different materials and that will determine product care. Please see general guidelines for care and storing:
The “Do’s”
- Put jewellery on once you are dressed
- Be careful to avoid tangling and scratching
- Handle with care and patience
- Check fasteners for wear and tear
The “Don’ts”
- Wear when bathing, in bed, exercising, gardening, doing housework, D.I.Y etc
- Allow direct contact with perfume, hairspray, body lotions, foundations etc.
- Use abrasive cleaners on jewellery, soap and water is usually a gentle cleaner but please check before cleaning.
Privacy & security
The Bead Idea will not disclose or sell any personal information to any third party at any time, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. We may store details such as email address, phone number and address on our database for our sales records and processing orders.
We do not store credit or debit card information as all transactions are made Zettle, which is secure.
Returns, cancellations & faults
Sometimes after buying an item, we decide we shouldn’t have bought it. If that’s the case, don’t worry because any goods purchased that you would like to return (unused or in original state), can be returned by contacting us within 14 days of receipt for a full refund! However, this does not apply for personalised items, such as wedding favours or bulk orders. Unfortunately we cannot refund P&P.
In the rare event that the goods are faulty or damaged on delivery (has to be the postman), please let us know straight away by emailing us sparkle@thebeadidea.com.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 if you return any goods, it is your responsibility to ensure that it reaches us. We recommend recorded delivery so you can track your items.
Due to hygiene reasons earrings are non-returnable.
The above does not affect your statutory rights.
Workshop FAQs
We do not offer refunds if you are unable to attend a workshop. We may be able to transfer to another workshop.
The workshop is not suitable for children under 12. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
If any tools are broken, these must be paid for.
In most cases above, just contact us! We love to talk so we will find a solution.
Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions

Voucher can be redeemed against jewellery, accessories and decor (subject to availability).
Any custom made items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Gift voucher can not be returned, exchanged or refunded for cash.
Lost, stolen or damaged vouchers will not be replaced.
Gift vouchers have an 18 month expiry date from the day of purchase.
